January 24th, 2012

There is a lot of time and energy that is spent in organizing a party, and this requires recipes that are easy and fast. Here is a dish that will make anyone’s superbowl appetizers list and will delight your next game day gathering.

Bruschetta tastes great, and there should be lots of these, as they will be gone in seconds flat.

Bruschetta

Take one baguette loaf
Olive oil
Tomatoes make sure they are diced finely
And some Italian seasoning that includes oregano and garlic

Parmesan, asiago, romano, provolone, mozzarella or fontina cheeses can be used. Using a variety of these on the different slices ensures there will be a range of bruschetta for anyone’s tastes.

The tops of the baguette should be lightly brushed with olive oil, and put atop a baking sheet. The tomatoes can then be added, and the Italian season can be lightly sprinkled over these. Finish topping with your favorite cheese. The oven should be heated to 350, and the bruschetta should be baked for 7 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown.
